One of the conceits of Exiled in Eris' Uruta is that it is the planet Earth with the oceans drained by 5000 meters.
I just found out that one of my favorite websites, the World Dream Bank, has modeled what the Earth would be like in just such a scenario!
They have an entire section of the world they call "Siphonia", which explores in much greater detail what I did in Photoshop.
